What Are The Default Email Settings


Generic Email Client Settings:

NOTE: This article outlines the generic and default settings for your Midphase CHI Email Accounts. You will need to modify your settings to match the domain for your account. These settings will only work if your domain is pointing directly to the Midphase Nameservers as indicated below:

ns14.midphase.com
ns15.midphase.com
ns16.midphase.com

Protocol: POP3


Server/Hostname/Address: chimail.midphase.com

Username: you@yourdomain.com (Use your email address in all lowercase)

Password: Your Password for the email account (Can be reset in CHI)

Incoming Port: 110

Outgoing Port: 25 (not recommended), 587, 8025

Outgoing Server Requires Authentication: Enabled

SSL: Disabled

Secure Password Authentication: No


Protocol: POP3 with SSL


Server/Hostname/Address: chimail.midphase.com

Username: you@yourdomain.com (Use your email address in all lowercase)

Password: Your Password for the email account (Can be reset in CHI)

Incoming Port: 995

Outgoing Port: 465

Outgoing Server Requires Authentication: Enabled

SSL: Enabled

Secure Password Authentication: No


Protocol: IMAP


Server/Hostname/Address: chimail.midphase.com

Username: you@yourdomain.com (Use your email address in all lowercase)

Password: Your Password (Can be reset in CHI)

Incoming Port: 143

Outgoing Port: 25 (not recommended), 587, 8025

Outgoing Server Requires Authentication: Enabled

SSL: Disabled

Secure Password Authentication: No


Protocol: IMAP with SSL


Server/Hostname/Address: chimail.midphase.com

Username: you@yourdomain.com (Your email address in all lowercase)

Password: Your Password (Can be reset in CHI)

Incoming Port: 993

Outgoing Port: 465

Outgoing Server Requires Authentication: Enabled

SSL: Enabled

Secure Password Authentication: No


** Take note that IMAP must be enabled within your email account on the server before it can be utilized. IMAP is included with most of our hosting packages from Midphase. To enable this feature or to find out if your package qualifies, please create a chat or submit a ticket to our Technical Support Team.
