How To Change WHOIS Information

What is WHOIS?

The governing body over domains, an organization called ICANN, requires valid contact information (called WHOIS) listed for every domain name.

Step One: Navigate to the WHOIS Section of CHI

  1. Log into your CHI account at chi.midphase.com.

.

     2. Click on the tab called “Domains” located on the left side of your screen.

     3. Click on the domain to edit the WHOIS information.

     4. Click the “WHOIS” link from the menu at the top of the screen.

Step Two: Edit the Contact Information

  1. Make the necessary edits to your information.

  2. Check the box to allow Midphase to make changes to your registrant information. For full terms and conditions, click here.

  3. Click “Save Changes” to complete your task.

There are three different types of contact information that you can update within your CHI account: the Registrant, Admin and Tech contact information. If you manage the domain yourself, simply click the “Copy data from Registrant Contact” button to share the information to each type.

If you have any questions about this process, or anything else, please contact technical support by opening a chat or creating a ticket.
