General background information on UK2 UK-2 Group has been a major player in the British and European hosting industry since the late nineties, and provides domain name registration and web hosting services to many customers through a family of hosting brands – UK2.net, US2.net and Resell.biz The group operates its services out of several state of the art, multi million pound data centers and are committed to providing reliable, secure and great value products and services underpinned with excellent support. UK-2 Group recently expanded into the American hosting market after acquiring clients from US host Stargate. The acquisition of midPhase further contributes to these international expansion plans and is an exciting and important step for all at UK2. 2. Will UK2 run midPhase? Will the management change? UK-2 Group intends to continue operation of midPhase’s various brands, including: midPhase.com, ANHosting.com and Autica.com, due to its successful approach and market leadership to date. UK2 will not integrate midPhase into any existing UK-2 Group brand. This means there will be no impact on existing midPhase customers in terms of products, services, prices and support. Also the existing midPhase staff will all stay in place to support these brands UK-2 does not plan to migrate servers and has chosen to collocate the existing midPhase servers with SingleHop, Inc., a company owned and operated by Zak Boca and Dan Ushman. Management of midPhase and its brands will change as the current founders Zak and Dan will be leaving the company. The CEO of UK-2 Group, Ditlev Bredahl will be taking over 3. Will we still receive support from the same people? Yes the team at midPhase will be unchanged and will continue to support products and services in exactly the same way. 4. Will the datacenter remain the same? What about the control panel? Yes your servers will not be migrated, and your control panel will stay the same 5. Will my price be the same? UK-2 Group plans to keep midPhase and its brands running as they are. Although longer term price changes may be inevitable as a result of market and industry changes, there are no short term plans to change any products, services or prices. 6. What specifically will change? Very little in fact! The main change is that midPhase, AN Hosting and Autica will now be part of UK-2 Group, but from a day to day products, services, prices and support perspective customers should see no impact as a result of the acquisition 7. What about AN Hosting? Will AN Hosting become more expensive? As above, UK-2 Group plans to keep midPhase and its brands (including AN Hosting) running as they are. Although longer term price changes may be inevitable as a result of market and industry changes, there are no short term plans to change any products, services or prices. 8. Why is this acquisition different than other acquisitions other hosting companies have performed that have been disastrous? The major reason is that there will be no server migration of any kind.
