Collection of scripts, typically written in PHP, that allow for message posts between users (i.e. Bulletin Boards). There are several forums available through Softaculous in cPanel on our Linux servers. Probably the most common and popular one if phpBB. If you wish to have a more serious forum or it is a more critical part of your site, you may want to look into purchase a license for a forum like vbulletin that would probably be less likely to be compromised since they are not open source and not necessarily as commonly used.
