How do I transfer my domain name from my old web host to MidPhase?

This article contains how to transfer your domain form your current host to Midphase.


When placing a new order where you have selected "transfer a domain I already own", or when putting a ticket asking our tech to transfer a domain for you please make sure the following is resolved first:

1. The domain has to be registered over 60 days ago.

2. You will need to request the authorization code from your current registrar. Once you have obtained the code, please copy and paste it into a ticket and send it to us at billing@midphase.com.

3. The email address on file with the registrar has to be one you can receive transfer requests to.

4a. The domain needs to be unlocked.

4b. If you change the status of your domain please wait four hours before submitting a request for transfer.

5. The domain cannot be in any of the following statuses: locked, pending deletion, pending renewal, or expired.

6. You should try to achieve a domain transfer at least 2 weeks before the domain renews to avoid any complications.
