15 Free Resources For Designers Part 1
Who doesn’t love something free? In this post, I’ll be pointing you in the direction of over 15 FREE resources for all the aspiring designers out there. The beauty of these resources (besides being free of course!) is that they are both great time savers for those that have to create quick mock ups day in and day out, as well as a good way to learn if you are a novice.
Without further ado, here’s my handpicked list of free design resources, in no particular order!
This is an invaluable resource for checking to make sure that your designs are grid-based for ease of use/visual clarity.
Browser Screens and Website Elements
Really cool vector pack that’s full of browser elements, as well as form elements (drop-down boxes, text fields, etc.). Useful if you are mocking up a form or web-application.
A cool collection of form elements to spice up the browser defaults on your site.
Lucky enough to be mocking up/creating an iPhone app? Well this PSD should make your life a little easier!

Speaking of iPhone application design?how about a GIANT collection of totally free icons to use in your app? Seriously, this resource is amazing.
What was that? You want MORE free iPhone icons? Well here you go! The coolest thing about these is that it’s free for commercial use.
Creating a business card, stationery, or cd cover? Totally lost on the dimensions you should be using? Well here are some free vector files to get you started.
38 FREE XHTML/CSS Website Templates
That’s right, almost 40 totally free website templates to use as you wish. And they aren’t terribly designed either. That’s a plus!
